The United Kingdom-based Bouygues group has been well known for venturing out into several business microgaming no deposit sectors which are apparently not connected. Keeping their this tradition intact they now wish to step into the business of online gambling which is undoubtedly the most lucrative business proposition. Bouygues group, for the last 25 years, continued their success by strategically acquiring many companies and for capturing the online gambling business now they have partnered with TF1.

TF1 is well respected by global media experts as France’s leading and foremost general TV station companies in the field of theme-based televisions sets. TF1 is also into business segments like audio-visual production along with production and subsequently distribution of those programs. The organization is therefore quite experienced in handling multiple communication technology concepts. Therefore, there is no surprise that the Bouygues Group has chosen TF1 for the development of their poker, online gambling and sporting bet business. The group has also signed an agreement with FDJ or Fran?aise des Jeux In tjis regard

TF1 here will now act as the third mitigating party in the deal between Bouygues Group and the Fran?aise des Jeux for starting the venture in online poker. The former manager of TF1, Patrick Lay, and the present chairman of the chain, Nonce Paolini recently confirmed their agreement in this line. . Paolini made Bouygues Group’s top authorities to remove of Mr. Lay from the board of directors of the TF1 who was in the favor of competing with SPS, the leading group in Europe involved in sports betting, and also held the venture capital, Serendipity, partially.,. But Paolini restricted this move as, according to him, it could have created risks for the group. As a result Lay moved out of the board of, but was accepted with open arms by SPS offering Serendipity’s shares.

GTECH G2 has renewed its contract with VirginPoker to supply the online poker site with its games software and player management system. VirginPoker is part of the Virgin Group and has been one of the most popular poker rooms in the International Poker Network (IPN) since it joined 2005.

With well over three million online poker players, the International Poker Network is the world’s largest independent poker network. It is operated by GTECH G2 and managed by GTECH G2 St Minver, one of the four igaming companies acquired by lottery industry giant GTECH to form its interactive gaming division.

One of the world’s most recognized brands, Virgin Poker has been part of the IPN since 2005. Attracting players from around the world, Virgin Poker offers seven different poker games including multi-table and Sit&Go tournaments and is also the host of the annual Virgin Poker Festival.

“Having a blue-chip client like Virgin renew their commitment with us is a terrific endorsement of the investment we have made in our product and, together with our partners, our success in building further liquidity on the IPN,” said Atul Bali, CEO, GTECH G2.

Simon Burridge, Chief Executive of Virgin Games, says “Virgin Games is very happy to extend our partnership. Since our launch in 2005 we have seen good growth in the UK poker market and we look forward to continued progress, moving forward with GTECH G2 and the IPN?”

The IPN recently awarded a Bad Beat jackpot of nearly half a million dollars and hosts a ?100,000 Guaranteed Freeroll Tournament every Sunday. At any given time there are nearly 10,000 players on the network playing at more than 1500 tables.

“There are many advantages in a large network like ours,” said Tony Ure, Head of IPN, GTECH G2. “With so many players, there’s a table for every kind of player and they’re always busy. Our liquidity allows us to provide big jackpots and to host ?10,000, ?100,000 and even ?1,000,000 guaranteed free rolls.”

Fans of online backgammon will now be able to enjoy their favourite pastime at Unibet after the site signed a deal with Jadestone Networks, the firm behind the GamArena and DiceArena multi-player online gambling networks.

Malta-based Unibet has joined Jadestone’s backgammon network, which launched in June and has since become the fastest growing network in Europe in terms of online casino player liquidity.

Jadestone stated that Unibet has joined other business-to-business partners including Bwin, Nordicbet, Betoto and PAF in signing a distribution agreement for its backgammon network. It revealed that the network’s liquidity has also benefitted from the high number of players joining due to its fresh and high spec software in the wake of an endorsement by the World Series Of Backgammon.

“We’ve already seen that backgammon is a highly popular game with our existing network partners,” said Tobias Nissen, General Manager for Jadestone.

“With Unibet now on board we aim to grow our online backgammon base significantly and continue to lead the market. With Betfair joining in the first half of next year, we really will be the biggest backgammon game in town.”

Followers of the incredible high stakes action of mystery Full Tilt nosebleed player Isildur1 were left wondering whether he would be back for more following another crippling night Monday that saw his bankroll seriously depleted.

Online poker pro Brian Townsend, who has already profited handsomely from the Swede, was the first to get into him again, choosing the $300/$600 Pot-Limit Omaha virtual tables as the battleground. It was a good choice for Townsend, who dominated his opponent over almost 620 hands and relieved him of $566 000, adding to the $1.53 million he has won from Isildur1 in previous encounters.

Undaunted by the bad start, Isildur1 next faced Ilari Sahamies, with whom he has clashed on several occasions in the past week with mixed fortunes, on the nosebleed $500/$1 000 PLO tables. Again, Isildur1 suffered heavy losses, going down around a million dollars in the 1 123 hands recorded by independent stats site MarketPulse, which indicates that Sahamies has profited from the Swede to the tune of $1.8 million in recent weeks.

Moving to the less ambitious but safer $25/$50 PLO tables, Isildur1 next confronted Tom Dwan, who has also had a bad high stakes ride in recent times. The duo played a brief 227 hands, but Isildur1’s fortunes did not improve as he went down to Dwan $30 000.

Patrik Antonius stepped up next, tackling the Swede in a 903 hand session on $300/$600 PLO and taking another $1 million off Isildur1. MarketPulse calculates that Antonius has prospered by $1.6 million in his confrontations with the Swede.

Down $2.7 million overall on the session, Isildur1 could be forgiven for calling it a night, but instead he got it on with Cole South in a 2 442 hand battle on $200/$400 PLO that burned through another $591 000 of Isildur1’s bankroll. Still undeterred, the Swede then took South over to the $300/$600 PLO action for an up-and-down session that ended in South taking home $800 000 in all.

The heads up between South and Isildur1 might have gone further, but Rafi Amit, Antonius and Sahamies were queueing up for a crack at the harmorrhaging Swede and entered the casino game despite South’s protests.

Isildur1 must now be in the red ink, having declined sharply from holding a profit of over (some say well over) $5 million only weeks back. Whether he can continue to play and recover is the question being debated across online poker message boards after his disastrous latest session.

On a side note, Full Tilt Poker visitor traffic has soared 25 percent since the mystery Swede started lighting up the nosebleed tables. Whilst there are other contributing factors to the growth such as seasonal interest and promotional activities, there can be little doubt that Isildur1’s audacious big-money action has been good for Full Tilt’s traffic.

Doing a little crowing about his victory in an Israeli court this week was Naphtali Goldman (34), the sole owner of online casino operation Lucky 18 Casino.

Goldman became the subject of an Israeli police investigation earlier this year and was questioned regarding allegations that he offered online gambling to Israeli residents.

In his press statement this week, Goldman explains that this was found not to be the case. He reports that his operations were “…exonerated of any wrongdoing by local authorities” with regard to the claims that he hosted and processed payment for the Lucky 18 casino in Israel.

“Lucky 18 casino founded 2 years ago….was found to have all relevant licenses’ to operate a legal and transparent online casino; after an exhaustive investigation, Lucky 18 casino has been found to run a bona fide legitimate operation as is required by law,” Goldman’s statement reads, notifying the industry that his online casino has returned to full operational capacity (but not in Israel).

Goldman and others were interrogated by Israeli authorities 2 months ago on claims of hosting an online casino platform within an Israeli jurisdiction.

Judge Esther Nachliel - Khayat at the Rishon Leziyon Magistrates Court expressed strong doubts on whether Goldman had broken any laws, and during the proceedings she famously asked enforcement officials: “Tedi Sagi [a major shareholder in the Playtech software company] was my neighbour. I am therefore somewhat familiar with the subject. What is the difference between him and Mr. Goldman before me?”

The interrogating authority failed to demonstrate that any wrongdoing or bad practice had taken place.

Lawyers for Goldman hinted that a civil suit against enforcement agencies may be in the works, commenting: “Due to the lack of understanding about the online gaming industry, authorities acted irresponsibly, opening the doorway to a substantial civil lawsuit.”
